3 Days Till School

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I blogged. Ya know, with only three days left till school starts, it really puts into perspective the fact that summer vacation is almost over. Tommorow is my last free day of summer, and then Tuesday I have this stupid student orientation at school. Wednesday is the day I start school. I'm completly dreading it. It's going to be completely tiring, with the IVC classes and honors courses and marching band. Both physical and mental fatigue. I'm already tired just thinking about it. AND I have to wake up at 6 in the morning every single day because I have 0 period. Well, alotta people have 0 period so I can't really complain about that can I? Freshman year is gonna kill me. Some of my friends already started school, and they said that high school is killing them. It's so tiring, and they are getting bullied by the upperclassmen. Thank god I've been working on my arms the whole summer. At least I can hit back if I need to. Heh plus there is absolutely no way I'm going to be able to wake up at 6 in the morning everyday. I usually wake up at 8 (the earliest) and most likely will be around 10. This is gonna be torture.

Besides that, tommorow morning I have to send my dad to LAX so that he can go on a plane to China and come back who knows when. It's really tiring hearing my mom and dad argue all the time, and no matter what I say, they still fight. Ugh. Old people. Well, I gotta wake up early (5 in the morning) so later guys.

5 Days Till School

Hey guys. It's Jerry again. I'm just back to say that I'm really freaked out about high school. I mean, I have been hearing a lotta stuff about freshman year, and it's gonna be horrible if it's al true. I know I shouldn't be worrying, but with the pressure I'm under cause of my race (Asian. Enough said) high school is gonna be torture. Plus I missed out on all my summer school classes cause I went to China. This is going to be really tough.

But then again. I thought, "Hey... I've survived nearly all the other grades. Everything will be fine. Nothing's going to go wrong." I keep saying that to myself, but I don't think I really believe it. I went back to Pioneer today, just to get a look again (and cause I was out running and just happened to run by it) and it dawned on me that summer vacation really is almost over. I'm thinking back through it and I realize that I did absolutely NOTHING the whole summer, except grumble and moan and sleep. Boy, I'm gonna have a tough time writing about what I did over the summer. There's really nothing that was too exciting, just the same old stuff. Maybe I can re use my essay from last year. :P. iono. High school is going to be frustrating. I wonder how much all my friends changed. Well... I'll blog later. Later guys.

7 Days Till School - Series Begin

August 27th, 2008

With school starting in a week, I've decided to start a little "diary" if you can call it that. Here I will be ranting about everything that's happened and everything else on that day. This will mostly focus on my new experience in my first year of high school. There's not much to talk about today, since school hasn't officially started, but still. This is just to tell you guys what I'm planning to do. This is also an attempt to cure my procrastination habits.

So, I just ended my 3 day band camp yesterday. I was dead beat by the end of the day. Each day was 13 hours long, with camp from 8 AM to 9 PM. Mr. Kollias, our director, said that these three days was equivalent to 8 weeks of school, so that's why it was so long. The food sucked, but the barbeque on the last day was alright. My lips are still buzzing from playing the trombone so much and we worked on some pre-game and half-time set ups. It was fun all around, since I got to talk to my friends again. I saw everyone from concertband back when I was still in 6th grade, and they haven't forgotten me either. Callie, our section leader, still remembers me as the really good sixlet so she put me on first part, in front of other upperclassmen. I feel so short standing in between a junior and a sophmore. Maybe cause I am short. Well, that was pretty much my last three days. Wake up, get dressed, play trombone, eat, play trombone, march, eat, march, play trombone, sleep, and around and around. I can finally enjoy some decent sleep before school starts and early up for me. I have 0 period so class starts at 6:45 AM for me. It's going to be a long year.

REGISTRATION

summer vacation is already over... ugh...
we have school registration tommorow...
then friday...
then band camp... for 13 freaking hours...
i mean... WHO GOES TO BAND CAMP FOR 13 FREAKING HOURS!?
and we gotta go 3 days! saturday... monday... and tuesday...
you gotta be joking me....
at least we get fed =P

but yea... thatz pretty much all that happened to me today
lolz im just sooo tired....
plus it turns out i have like calluses? if you guys know what that is
itz like when the skin becomes realy thick cuz of pressure
and the only way to get rid of it is to
1) cut it off
2) freeze it off with LIQUID NITROGEN
3) use acid that will "eat it" off...
and my parents...
being the chinese people that they are
like to use the most efficient methods...
meaning combining two of em....
thank god we're not using liquid nitrogen.... itz kept at -200 degrees...
ya know how fucking cold that is...
and id like to make sure my foot doesnt explode...
so their cutting it and using the acid...
and it seems lik its getting harder.... -_-*
but thatz all thatz happened to me today

NBC is really pushing it...

WOW... First NBC makes the olympic games shown late on the west coast, and then they humiliate west coast viewers and insult their intelligence with a little "live" sign at the top that should NOT be there. Practically every west coast viewer is furious at NBC and it's stupid antics, and I say, if you can pay 9 million dollars for something, you can at least take off the "LIVE" sign if that's all you can do. NBC has repeatedly stated that it is delaying the coverage because that is the time when the most people are available. Just a few days ago, a rumor spread that Michael Phelp's historic race for he possible eighth gold, beating Mark Spitz record of seven, was going to be shown LIVE throughout the WHOLE United States, and not just the East Coast. Well... Lookie here.... They've shown how stupid they are... once again... by NOT broadcasting it live.... What kinda idiot people are running this company!? This is stupid! I wouldn't be amazed if no one ever watches NBC again just cause of how stupid they set this up. I'm sure some people would love to stay up till midnight watching the olympics if it was live. That's sure as heck fair enough. Why can't they listen to a nation of people and just make the coverage live. For God's Sake... it's the WEST COAST! the nation's most populous state is like half the west coast and ur actually gonna delay the tape?! WTF?! Where's the logic in that?! where's the fairness in that? Their practically wasting their money if they dont show it live... people hate watching taped videos... I know i just look at the internet and i dont even bother with the TV nymore... and even if you try, you cant escape not going on the internet for 3 hours... and it doesnt help that nearly every major website broadcasts the most amazing and hyped results in big and bold letters on the front of the page... This is just annoying... completely... and utterly useless... me and at least 33 million other people have come to the conclusion... and i'm fairly sure that we all believe this....
that NBC is run by a bunch of idiotic jerks...

NOOOOOOOO

Wow... Summer vacation went by so fast. Before we know it it's alrdy halfway through august and we've wasted 7 weeks of our time. High school is gonna be torture. I'm already NOT excited about it and it's only... August 11th. School starts September 3rd so that's cool. Just 23 more days left =P. That gives me ... 3 more weeks to goof off. Heh... It seems like all I'm doing everyday is being lazy and watching TV... Did I mention that we got cable after what? A year of not having it? Ya know how crazy it was to hear about my friends talk about the cool shows they saw when i had no clue what was going on?! That was just plain mean. Well... we have it now... and I'm taking advantage of it as much as i can!

Heh so... only 3 more weeks of vacation left. So much stuff I need to do, so many things i need to goof off on... time really flys when your doing nothing but watching TV and weightlifting and excercising and playing computer and updating a website. Actually, not really. That's a lotta things everyday... Never knew i was being so active... Grrr there goes my excuse of lazyness... well... school registration is coming up already, so i guess i SHOULD transfer into school mode...But.. for some strange reason... (yeah right... strange...pshh...) I don't feel like it =P
heh im still waking up everyday at like ten AM... and still sleeping at like 12... but i guess sleeping late is something i'll have to get used to =P. Ah well... Here's to a summer almost finished and a new experience in high school. Here's to the marking of our transfer from "kid" to "adult." And finally... Here's to being able to drive!!

so anyway.....
I've been reading the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer the last few days
and I've gotta say...
it was INCREDIBLE
though in the beggining i had my doubts, it turns out that they way the authors writes captivates you
and the details she uses are so vivid that you can really immerse yourself in the story
as if you're in it yourself. It's got to be the BEST series so far that I've read.
possibly even better than the Harry Potter series????
Well nywayz, Itz just so cool!
and especially since the fourth and final installment just came out
you can read through the whole series without having to stop and wait for all the next book to come out
though the second one is sorta of plain and useless, less action, and kind of predicting
its still vital in the knowledge it gives of the characters.
Book four begins pretty lame, but as you read on it gets more and more exciting,
with the author writing the book in the different perspectives of Bella and Jacob.
The transition can be confusing at first but you'll get used to it.
The end can really be emotionally captivating,
I think i even shed a tear myself!
It's just so amazing, just by reading it i can imagine myself among those comf---
oh wait... Ive said too much...

The series comes HIGHLY recommended by me

P.S. the movie "TWILIGHT" comes out 12.12.08... CANT WAIT!
